Dynamic soil-structure interaction analysis of railway bridges

The project involves numerical and experimental investigations on the resonant behaviour of railway bridges considering soil-structure interaction (SSI). The study include SSI of slab and pile group foundations of high-speed railway bridges as well as SSI of end-frames, portal frames and steel-soil composite bridges. The work involves in-situ experiments and computationally demanding FE soil models which are analysed utilizing PDC, centre for high performance computing, at KTH.
