The course in moisture mechanics deals with fundamental moisture technical issues that can be found in buildings: One important example is how the moisture in air is transported in a building and how it is bounded in various hygroscopic building materials. Important issues are also other transport processes for moisture. As moisture often is a contributing factor for building damages an important part of the course is to study various moisture criteria for damages. The course turns to students directed building physics and technology or people active as professionals in the building industry and production of building materials.
