Electrified roads: Long term performance prediction and LCA

The aim of this research is to assess the sustainability of different types of electrified roads (eRoads) able to charge electrical vehicles while driving (often named ‘dynamic charging’). The computational simulations of long-term performance of proposed technical solutions (including conductive and contactless) make use of data from experimental characterization and are evaluated for its sustainability within a Life Cycle Assessment framework.
