Energy-momentum conserving scheme for nonlinear dynamics of beam structures

The main objective is to determine the structural response of steel structures subjected to extreme loadings. The first part of the research work concerns the design of an energy-momentum method for nonlinear dynamic analysis of planar beam in the co-rotational approach. The second part focuses on the structural response of steel structures subjected to impact and earthquake loadings by using generalized elasto-plastic hinges concept. The last part of the research work is to develop an energy-momentum method for nonlinear dynamic analysis of 3D beam in the Total Lagrangian approach.
