The project is a continuation of method development that was started in the research project FR8HUB WP3 and aims to improve the prediction of arrival and departure times for freight trains using machine learning applied to an analytical model, which can be used both to 1) measure capacity utilization on railway and 2) as input to e.g. macro simulation models for capacity analysis in a network perspective.
